People 1st

People 1st already have a backend CRM system that takes care of their customer database and other systems. As part of their intranet build, we needed a way of interfacing with their system and pulling the necessary data back to the app.

Working with their internal teams as well as an external Dynamics CRM developer, I was able to create a proprietary gem that connected to their CRM system via SOAP. The gem added methods to the ActiveRecord class to provide a simple API that could then be used in the main application.
