Having a common name and an email address comprised of that name means I do occasionally get email that was intended for other people. What I find disturbing is the insistance by some of these people that I am in fact the intended recipient:

Hi Mrs. Hall,

I hope you’re having a good summer.  I will be retaking my math 2 subject test in november and I have signed up to take the SAT again in november.  I’m going to be college tripping in on the east coast in august.  I will most likely visit Haverford, Swarthmore, schools around the D.C. area, and other colleges.  I haven’t decided completely yet.  Right now, everything that we had is still on my list, and I will e-mail Mrs. Mack about the recommendations.

,Chris

Hi,

I don’t think this email was intended for me.

Thanks,
